“Too Big to Trust? Banks, Schools and the Ongoing Problem of Interest Rate Swaps”

Educate yourself about the causes and local consequences of unethical finance schemes.

Sharon Ward, executive director of the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center (PBPC) will hold a press conference on Tuesday January 17th at 2 pm in the 4th floor of (Philadelphia) City Hall to discuss how Philadelphia has been caught up in the same unscrupulous practices that caused a global economic collapse – and what to do about it.

The briefing is in conjunction with the release of a report by the PBPC entitled, “Too Big to Trust? Banks, Schools and the Ongoing Problem of Interest Rate Swaps.” The report reviews investments that were aggressively promoted to the City and School District that have cost millions of dollars and which remain an unsolved problem.
